Welcome to US Observerships

We at US Observerships are dedicated to providing excellence in Observership experiences for International Medical Graduates. We understand that entering United States Residency Programs is a difficult endeavor for all individuals, but it is especially difficult for IMG's. Our task is to provide quality Observerships to these individuals for the specific purpose of gaining medical knowledge of the United States Healthcare System.

 

Program Details

Tuition for the 4-week Observership Program is $1,800.00 (US Funds). To apply for the Observership Program, you must submit a completed Application form, supporting documentation, and a $125.00 non-refundable Application Processing Fee. Tuition fees cover all educational, clinical and administrative expenses required to implement the Observership Program. The program includes assignment to a Physician for a period of four (4) weeks, assignment to a US Observership representative, participation in lectures, and HIPPA and Bloodborne Pathogens Certifications. The Program can be renewed up to three (3) time for a total of twelve (12) weeks.

 

What is an Observership?

An "Observership” is defined as the position of observinA Physician discusses a case with an Observer at US OBservershipsg patient care in a health care setting, without patient contact, for the specific purpose of gaining medical knowledge. It is a vital part of gaining exposure to the US medical system and will increase the quality of one's application package for residency.

What Certifications will I need?

Observer looking at an X-ray at US ObservershipsYou will be required to obtain HIPAA and Bloodborne Pathogens Certifications.

Participants in US Observerships' Programs are required to attend a 2-day orientation, where they will earn the above certifications.
